The residential building project "Europos sodo namai" is being developed in one of the highest locations in Kaunas, offering a picturesque city panorama. It seamlessly combines modern solutions, functionality, and convenience. This project incorporates 336 m of EBEA® Balcony Connectors - load-bearing and fire-resistant thermal insulation connectors designed and manufactured by Peikko Lietuva that minimize heat loss at the intersections of balconies and supporting structures. The predominant type of used EBEA® Balcony Connector is EBEA® 700. Thanks to this connector, a junction point where three precast concrete structures intersected - the balcony, cantilevered floor slab, and triple-layered wall was easily resolved. The balconies are installed with an overhang, meaning the top level of the balcony slab is positioned higher than the top level of the floor slab, ensuring that when the floors are installed, the top of the balcony aligns with the installed floors.
