Freedom in design

Design without limits — this is the core philosophy behind our software. You can freely move and rotate the column relative to the base for unparalleled flexibility. Additionally, you can configure an unlimited number of shoes and anchors per connection, with complete freedom in their placement to suit your design needs. So whether your project involves standard geometries or complex custom designs, every single connection can be optimized.

With support for more than 10 national annexes of the Eurocode, the tool ensures your designs meet regional requirements. For even greater flexibility, you can customize partial factors and calculations to suit specific project needs. BOLTED CONNECTION also expands its capabilities by incorporating torsional load input, facilitating detailed and reliable calculations of twisting forces within the system.

In 2025, BOLTED CONNECTION will introduce support for long anchor bolts, fire stage design, and a range of other additional features, further enhancing its ability to handle even the most complex designs. Support for the ACI standard will also be added, expanding design capabilities to countries that follow US standards.

Intelligent reinforcement and precise outputs

Supplementary reinforcement can be a challenge, but not with BOLTED CONNECTION. It features an intuitive interface for adding both cone rebars against the cone failure as well as adding surface reinforcement against the splitting and the edge failure. You can enjoy the freedom of selecting the rebars and their placement, while the tool also offers default reinforcement setups for each anchor type and size to make the design process more efficient.

Once the calculations have been performed the tool provides very comprehensive results that break down the performance of your connection in detail. The tool shows what intermediate values, and which exact formulas are being used in the calculations. You can also see precisely which rebars are being activated in different failure modes and how they act together as a group to prevent different failures, providing total transparency for designers.
